Luxardo Maraschino Cherries

This is a refreshing cocktail and a modern twist on a margarita. Simply add all ingredients into a shaker and serve on the rocks. Garnish with a skewered Luxardo Maraschino Cherry. They can be found on Amazon and these are no ordinary cocktails cherries–they are amazing.

• 2.0 oz. mezcal joven

• .75 oz. St-Germain

• .75 oz. Dolin Blanc

• Splash of fresh lemon juice

Dolin Blanc is sweet vermouth which is dry and citrusy and works well with mezcal. St-Germain seems to work well with everything. Load ingredients into shaker and stir with ice for thirty to forty seconds. Strain and serve up in a martini glass.

• 1.0 oz. Ginger beer

• .5 oz. Agave nectar

This is a take on a traditional Moscow Mule which is made with vodka. Add the mezcal, fresh lime and agave nectar into a shaker. Pour over ice in a cocktail glass and then add the ginger beer. Stir with a bar spoon. Garnish with a lime wedge.

• 1.5 oz. silver tequila (Herradura or equivalent–nothing cheap!)

• .5 oz. mezcal joven floated on top

• 1.0 oz. agave nectar

• 1.5 oz. fresh lime juice
